Help needed!

Hi everyone

I'm a new landed immigrant, already a university student back there in
my country ( 2nd year of Software Engineering, If it helps) intrested
in attending a university in Toronto!
So far I heard that UoT is number one university in engineering and
science and I also heard that it's famous for it's theoratical
teaching method which I don't like!
I also heard about the York University and that it has a more pratical
approach to the subjects taught I'd like to know about it's reputation
in the IT market and whether or not any of you guys recommend it.

In a nut shell ----> Which one is better: UoT / YorkU...!?

Sorry I can not help you but may be you can help me. I am immigrant as
well and study adult education. Now I have to write my assessment and
use minimum online resources in different forms like web sites, wikis,
blogs, video clips, netcasts and I do not know what is all about. I am
Social Worker and this is night mare for me.
